What's been going on.

I bet you all thought I forgot about you huh? LOL! Well things have been more crazier around here than ever! I have officially started my "donut of misery". Yes, the dreaded D-Day has come. :(

I have been MIA for a while; so that we could prepare of it and of course, spend as much time together as a family as possible. So pardon my lack of posts... but I guarantee... I will have alot more to write about since, I'll have alot more time on my hands. :)

Before hubby left, we decided to have professional portraits done. We went to portrait innovations here in town and they turned out fabulous!!! In fact, there were sooooo many good shots that I had a hard time choosing between poses. We ended up getting a whole big package, that of course cost a small fortune, but it was well worth the money since they turned out so great.

I've also been redecorating the house a bit, finally adding to my bedroom and actually developing a theme! I've also redecorated the master bathroom as well, were going with a "travel the world" type theme. I've got to admit, its coming along great! I can't wait to get it all done and show pictures!

I'm also in the process of creating the munchkin a "reading nook" of her own. We've been getting in some serious reading time! Not to brag or anything but... she IS in the top few kids of her school's kindergarten AR program! -- Insert super happy mommy here! So I had to ask myself... why not encourage that great work with even more reasons to read... by adding a "reading nook"! I seriously can't wait to get down to Florida this summer so I can head over to Miami and go to Ikea, to raid it and get more fun things to add to her nook! It's gonna be amazing when I'm done ;)

Hope you all have been doing good. I'll post some more soon! :) So for now, enjoy a few of the pics we had done. :)

Isn't she beautiful!!

My two peas in a pod... she looks soooooo much like her daddy :)

Like breakfast at Tiffanys!

Sooo adorable :)

Between soccer practices, games, girl scout meetings, girl scout cookie selling, Mardi Gras parades, valentines day parties, kindergarten programs and planting trees! Whew! Like I said... CRAAAAAAAAZY! Hope you all are doing well, I've got a few craft and painting projects up my sleeve so stay tuned! In the mean time... enjoy the photos from what's been going on :)

Comence Life!

The holidays are now over and I am starting to feel the normal rush of regular life take over (as usual) we are down to the "weeks" portion of hubby getting ready to leave for his big D. No, I will not say when, no I will not say where... remember OPSEC... sorry. So now we are kinda "mad-dashing" around trying to get everything in order. The paperwork is all done and the big arrangements have been made its just the little things now to worry about... like finding the write adapter, buying some extra clothes and boots, etcs...

I am on week five of my college class and I am holding down the fort with a A! I got my first essay grade last week and received an A on it as well (97.8). I'll tell you what though... I think writing in APA format is horrible and stupid! LOL! I am a little over the half way point with the class and should be ending it at the end of this month. Funny thing... my class ends the same day that I will be in NOLA with the munchkin seeing STAN Freakin LEE, for those of you who don't know who this awesome and amazing man is... he created Spider-man! Annnd... Adam Baldwin -- Mr. John Casey from the TV show Chuck! Yes, see I AM still a geek at heart! Oh man its gonna be so awesome!

Cookie sales will be starting soon, probably in the next week or so with Girl Scouts. I'm pretty excited seeing how its gonna be munchkin's first time doing a cookie sale! :) Soccer will also be starting up again for the season in about two weeks. It is going to be the munchkin's fourth year playing and her third year playing on the Keesler Youth Soccer League. She is very excited... me... I am terrified... why? Because I am COACHING! Yes... I am... I know... what did I get my self into right?! Well... I have been putting it off for weeks now, and the director has been bugging us parents by email saying that he needs a coach and an assistant coach for the team. I didn't really want to do it because I just have so much going on as it is with college and Girl Scouts and the nameless other projects I take on, I just didn't want to overload myself (especially since hubbers will be gone) But... the director sent out a final email yesterday saying he would have to refund the money to the parents of the kids who would have been on her team if someone didn't step forward to coach. They just didn't have any extra people to coach this year and the teams are already really full. I know how much she was looking forward to playing and with her dad being gone, the more distractions the better! So... what else could I do? So yeah... here I am coach Jess for Team Fire 5-6 year olds! LOL! Oy vey!

College, Infertility and Christmas Crafts!

I compltely understand now why people do no go to college! They make it impossible to pay for! Holy craaaaaaaaap! I am just so compeltely frustrated with begging the government to pay for my classes... I haven't even started a class yet and college is a big pain in the rear! I hope this is all worth it in the end... that's all I can say LOL! Seriously though... I am using Federal Student Aid for the first time annnnnnd MYCAA for the first time... I think they are both confused at the fact that I am trying to use both... but hey, can you blame me? It's FREE money! Just sitting there! Waiting for me to use it... but, they don't make it easy to get. I feel like I have jumped through every hoop possible in order to get the money. I have played phone tag with financial advisers and email'ed to death military assistance specialists. And all I can say is... what a mess! I hope to god this all gets straitened out before my class starts NEXT MONDAY! O.o

In other news... I am not pregnant... yup, AF just reared her ugly head on Thanksgiving! :P It is always my luck that she shows up either on a holiday or while on vacation (espeically when the destination involves a bathing suit) Soooo... it is back to the ole drawing board (AGAIN) I called my RE's nurse this morning and now I'm waiting on a call or e-mail back about what our next move is gonna be. Time is running out fast before hubby deploys so we gotta move fast. :( To be honest, I am looking forward to the break. It also wasn't as bad as I thought it was gonna be emotionally. I don't know if its because of all the excitement that was going on with Thanksgiving or what but I am pretty much in a relatively good mood, despite the bad news, and for that I am greatful. It's a roller coaster I tell ya... hopefully this is the "up" part!

The kiddo is back at school today and I am home... all alone... all by myself... ♪ ♫"don't wanna be... all byyyyyyy myself..."♪ ♫ oops LOL! It was nice seeing her not be as eager to go off to school this morning... don't get me wrong, I mean... I like that she goes but it was nice knowing she rather spend the time with mommy :) Mission accomplished! We did do some pretty awesome stuff this week! One of which was playing with salt dough! Super easy to make and waaaaaay cheaper than buying clay! Also safe around other children or pets who might eat it by accident! You just take 2 cups of flour, 2 cups of salt and 1 cup of water and mix in a big bowl. You can add a little water here and there if you need to, depending on the kind of texture you want. Then knead it for a while till it becomes the consistency of "play dough". Shape into whatever you want and then put it on a pan and bake it in the oven at 250 degrees for a few hours (more hours if its a huge item). We made Christmas ornaments this time out of the dough. A snowman, a butterfly and a cupcake. The kiddo shaped them and then we baked them for a few hours and then we painted them together.

I think they turned out awesome, if I do say so myself! ;)

Catching Up! Woah!

Wow! I just realized how long its been since I posted anything! Woah! Sorry... LOL! We've been a little busy... So let's see... Halloween was really great! The night before Halloween, we went down town in Biloxi and did trick-or-treating in the park by the Hard Rock casino it was awesome. We ended up going with a friend of hubby's and his kids. The kids got lots of candy and participated in a costume contest, that munchkin should have won... but don't get me started... that's a whole other post LOL! The night of Halloween we went trick-or-treating in the housing on base (its bigger, therefor more candy) and after all... Halloween is all about the CANDY! Munchkin went as Spider-Girl! And she rocked her costume this year as well! She even got her picture taken with the hooters girls that were all dressed up. It's our family tradition to go eat wings at hooters on Halloween. We've been doing it since the munchkin had her very first Halloween! Wanna see the pics? Ok!

Isn't she just A-dorable!

Hello Kitty & Nicki Minaj were her favorites!

I also had to go to the fert doctor in Mobile, AL on Halloween as well... I had my ultrasound after have taken 8 days worth of Femera again and this time the ultrasound only revealed one "pumpkin" (not baby... potential egg) But... it was a really, great, BIG one! 25mm! That is the idea size for fertilization! Now... wither it has become fertilized or not I do not know yet... yes, once again I am in my two week wait... and it never gets any easier! I should know by next week though. I hope to god it work this time! I DO NOT want to go for surgery next month... yes, that is what they have decided to do since they can't figure out why I am not pregnant by now... :(
And believe me... I will do just about anything to avoid surgery!

This weekend has been busy since last Thursday! We had friends from our last duty station in Georgia come to visit and spend some time with us, they are in the process of PCS'ing to Texas and since we were on the way to Texas they thought it would be nice to stop and see us! We had a great time just hanging out and being together again. This week for me is probably going to be just as busy... since I'll be getting ready for the big Turkey Day! We will be having potluck Turkey dinner at the hubby's squadron next week and I am bringing the pies! Oh my!
We are also signing up for "home away from home" again this year... its where you get a few airman that are still in tech school and have no way of getting home to see their families for the holiday... so we take them in and become their temporary family for Thanksgiving. I love it! When we did it last year, we had such a good time and it felt really good opening up our house to people who can't be with their families... no one should be alone on the holidays. Besides... I love cooking for lots of people! So if, I go AWOL again on here... its because I am out trying to catch tom turkey! LOL! So for now... peace, love and Turkey grease! :)

Just a Post

So I feel kinda shabby... a little rough around the edges. I really have nothing blog worth going on and for that I'm sorry. I've been working on a few projects but they are not done yet, and I don't want to show them till I get everything juuuuuuuust right.

The munchkin is doing GREAT in school! It's been almost a week and I think I can safely say she LOVES it! I love that she comes home almost every day with something to show me, even if its just a coloring page or number's she has traced. I have decided to keep a folder that I will put all her work into that she brings me home and then at the end of the year I'll take pics of all of them and keep the best ones. I know its hard to keep all of them, and god knows I don't want to end up on an episode of hoarders LOL!

As for me... I am settling in my routine. Which consists of a LOT of house work and laundry, with the occasional shopping trip thrown in. Basically, I'm bored and cant wait to start school in January... I would have had my butt at the gym all this week but mother nature decided to rear her ugly head my way. Actually it was induced by a little pill I've been taking thanks to my fertility doc in Mobile. He has me on Provera right now, then its 2 weeks of birth control (yes, you read that right BIRTH CONTROL) apparently it will kinda even out my hormones... or so I'm told and then it will be round 2 of clomid with a increase in dosage! Yay, for increasing the chances of TWINS! LMAO! I look at it this way... I am willing to take the risk for what I want. I want baby(s) so badly, I'd stand on my head for the next 16 hours if you told me it would help. And if we end up with twins, well then were done! Like done, DONE! I can get it all over and done with in one shot. ;) So I have the rest of this month to get through with all these pills and then I see my doc again on September 1st for some blood work and an ultrasound to see how things are going. I'm keeping my fingers crossed but not holding my breath. I have learned instead of worrying about it that I just need to roll with the punches, I feel thankful that I'm at least to the point that I'm seeing a doctor who actually cares and is making efforts to help me.

As for the rest of life... I am doing alot of reading... I'm nearly half way through J.R. Ward's Lover Avenged and I'll probably have a review of that here in a week or two, depending on how I work in my other projects. I'm also working hard for scentsy, my new catalogs and testers shipped and they should be arriving on my door step in a few days! Cant wait! There are so many good scents to be smelled! They have also come out with a new line of products which is... perfume! They will have roll on perfumes in the new catalog and I can wait to get my hands on one!

Hope you all are doing well, and I apologize for the lack of posts and for the random ones I do have. I promise to come back soon and be a bit more entertaining for you :)

In the middle of the night...

I go walking in my sleep... from the mountains of faith to the rivers so deep...*Ahem* Sorry bout that... I got a little inspired by my posts title. Oh come on, you know you love Billy Joel... right?

So yeah its nearly 2am and I am pretty wide awake. Its all due to a nap I had around 7pm. I'm not really regretting it because I was exhausted and I did fall asleep in hubs arms while watching tv on the couch... aaaaah it was so blissful. This might be a little random but I have been funky lately... maybe its stress maybe its just my body being weird, who knows... all I know is I definitely have to go back in to see my doctor after we come back from Christmas vacation. Mother nature still hasn't shown up yet, which normally I would be head over heels estatic about but there are two problems with that... 1.) is I haven't had that crazy lunatic mother nature show up since mid October. And 2.) I have taken 2 tests with BFN's (Big Fat Negative's) :P
Now here's the big BUUUUUUUUUTTTT... I feel funky... I am exhausted everyday usually around 7'ish. The "girls" and I hope you know to which two I'm referring to have been full, perky, and exxxxxxxtreamly sensitive, like were talking I can't even put a sports bra on without being in pain. My nose is on high alert, were at the point where I cant even take out the trash without wanting to barf. Now, this is not a real big concern to me because believe it or not I get this way when I PMS only I normally crave chocolate like a fat kid at fat camp and have cramps along with all these other things. And again, but... this time there is no chocolate cravings, no cramping, no moodiness... just this funkiness. What can I make of it?... Not a damn clue... I almost wish I could get an appointment with the doc before we leave, but I know for sure that's next to impossible. Any of you care to guesstimate whats going on? Ever feel like this before and been pregnant? Ever get 2 negative results and still been pregnant (is that even possible?) ? Yeah, I know... WTF! but you gotta admit its weird. I do realize that I can make myself feel this way by wanting it so badly but in all honesty I don't think that is the case this time, I respectively will not complain when I am pregnant but I do NOT wish for nipple pain, like I have now... yeah its that bad! LOL!

In other news the munchkin had a GREAT birthday, in fact we partied it up, pretty much all weekend! I'll do a big post on that sometime soon, its just been nuts the past few days getting ready for our big haul down to Florida on Thursday.

I also took the big camera back out and did some more bokeh shots... this one I like in particular...
Mmmmm. Don't you just love cuppy cakes?! Ok that is all... nannoo nannoo I'm out like mork!

Random Weekend

Sorry I've been a little MIA for the last few days, I've not been THAT busy I just don't have much to blog about. I just figure why bore you with mundane details right? So here's the cliff notes version. I am loving that we have had such a long weekend, Hubs has been off of work since Thursday! Woohoo! It would have been nice to go some where and enjoy it a little bit more but we'll be doing plenty of that next week when my in-laws arrive on Wednesday.

So far Thursday we spent re-doing the weather stripping on the vette which took about all afternoon. You have to take the door panels of to get to all of it so its kinda a pain in the ass, but with the two of us it wasn't too bad. We went to Chili's so Hubs could get his free Veteran's day meal. I was expecting it to be insane but we only actually ended up waiting about 15 mins... I was shocked, seeing how we live in a military town. I think it was the cheapest meal we've ever eaten as a family, in fact my meal was the most expensive at a whopping $7.99. Even the munchkin just wanted cheese fries! I think our total came to about $12.00 including drinks.

Friday was the corvette club meeting (Hubs is the secretary and web designer, so we usually kinda sorta have to go) and then we went to dinner with the club at El Rancho's... My FAVORITE local Mexican restaurant. Our poor waiter... I don't think he had ever handled a group as big as ours.... in the end he was so confused as to who ordered the chimichanga or the quesodilla. LOL! Followed by a walk around Wal-Mart (not my favorite but it was close) I dunno about you guys but I feel like I HAVE to walk around a bit after I eat... it just hurts if I don't. It feels like everything is just stuck right there in middle of my stomach and will take forever to digest, so I make it a point to walk around somewhere... which is usually a store and leads to impulsive buys like a CUTE new nail polish called Sunset Strip by Hard Candy and looks very fall festive on my pretty little piggies and some hair dye. Yup its been dyed yet again... I don't think I've actually seen my natural color in YEARS like were talking a good 12 years at least. I do know that if I did grow it all out Id probably be waaaaaaay gray, its just in my genes on dad's side. :P So anyway its a dark blond with platinum high lights and the bottom around my nape is black (like it has been dipped in tar) sounds weird but I actually like it.

Saturday was pay day and with no surprise grocery shopping day. We bought the Turkey and the Ham for Thanksgiving. I bought both meats in case the Airman we are having over don't end up liking Turkey there is always Ham. Its no strange thing to me to have both, I grew up that way. My dad is NOT a turkey eater so mom always ended up making both. I have to say I love the commissary, the older retired spouses always crack me up...

As for today its laundry day and Christmas shopping day. I'm probably going to head out and finish up getting stuff for the munchkin. On the list is the Leapster Explorer (that's her big gift this year), Some accessories for her Batcave that she will be getting, The Crayola color dome, and probably one or 2 other random NON GIRLY toys LOL. She is such her mothers daughter.

Hope you all are having a fabulous weekend (hope I didn't bore you too much) and I shall post more soon. I will have another craft project post soon (as I finish it). Its for Thanksgiving so I'm trying to finish it up ASAP. lol. I leave you with a pretty sunset that was taken by me on Thursday at the beach which is about 2 blocks from our house.
