30 Days of Me: Day 10

Well this is a pic of me and the hubs sitting on his mom and dad's couch watching Transformers (yes were were little geeks even back then, what can I say ...somethings never change) in 1987 when he was 5 and I was 4. Yes, we've known each other that long... and yes, there is a story to it...

His mom and my mom were best friends growing up in Germany, they both married American Army soldiers. His dad got out and moved state side to Jacksonville a few years later, while my dad stayed in and my parents stayed stationed in Germany until I was 5. After that we moved back to the states to Ft. Myers Florida where my dads parents lived... me and the hubbers lived about 5 hours away but since our parents were such close BFF's we got to see each other every summer and sometimes long weekend holidays. And here we are 23 years later, totally in love with each other just like those two little kids were on the couch back in 1987. It wasn't always smooth... we had obstacles in the way like heartaches, failed marriages (prior to ours), college disappointments... and a lot of growing up to do, but we made it though... It just goes to show you that you just can't keep true love apart.
