The 25 Days of Christmas Challenge: Day 2

All about shopping: Best bargains, favorite stores, game plans and shopping team members.

So as planned I did a little Black Friday shopping last week, my MIL and I always leave the house about 3:30 am in really comfy clothes, a good pair of running shoes and 2 shots of espresso! Yes, I am totally serious LOL! We really get into Black Friday shopping, but in a good way... were not the granny flinging, elbow of doom giving type of nuts out there. We wait patiently in line just like everyone else, my MIL armed with her sales ad and me with my smart phone. The usual stores we try to hit up are Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Kohls and Target for their door busters and everywhere else is just whatever we feel like taking a chance on. We usually try to hold out till about noon and then come home and sleep it off. This year I did a little pre-Black Friday shopping online and got some good deals on jewelry for the moms. It was actually pretty tolerable this year, we didn't have too many rude and obnoxious people to deal with and no one was shanked over a video camera barbie lol! How was your Black Friday shopping experience?

'Tis the season to Deck the Halls and Shop till you drop!

Its the day after thanksgiving that means two things in the McC's house hold... it means waking up before dawn to get our shopping on (I think my MIL and I live for this day!) and it also means putting up the Christmas decor. We don't have a theme, but I love home made stuff so I have things from mom and my childhood that will go up, usually alot of the other items are my crafts. I have a few new items that will be joining the rest of my Christmas decoration clan... one is a Snowflake wreath that I have made... (another dollar store fabu favorite!) have I mentioned that I'm obbbbbsesssssssed with Snow and all things Snowflaked themed? The other is a window treatment for my front living room window. It's Not quite dollar store cheap but still under $10 bucks! I call it my "Wishing for a White Christmas" piece. Just because it doesn't snow in Mississippi doesn't mean I can't make it snow right? ;)
