I am proud to introduce you to our newest member of the Mc'C family!
This cute little guy is "Ace"!
We rescued/adopted him from the South Mississippi Humane Society yesterday.
Don't ask me how on earth I talked my husband into getting him for us. I wasn't even really looking to have a dog, I mean we talked about having one and then came up with a ton of reasons why we shouldn't. We've gone round and round on the subject for probably a good 2-3 years now. However, yesterday I found this little guys cute face in an email that the Humane Society sent me, he was on the list of lonely hearts, which means he has been at the shelter for over 30 days and that also put him in danger of being put down. There is no way (after looking at him) I could ever let that happen! When I saw his face in that email something just clicked! He I could tell from that instant he needed me and I needed him and the rest is history...
He is the perfect little baby boy Dachshund anyone could ask for too! He's about a year and 3 months old, he weigh's in just at about 10lbs (a little on the skinny side but we plan on fattening him up with good food and yummy treats) and he's approximately 30 inches long (nose to tail). He walks on a leash perfectly, he is house broken already, he never barks and the munchkin can do just about anything with him and he doesn't care. He is so loveable and hug-able! I think he just needed someone to love him.
So after $100 bucks, some begging, some pleading, a essay and spreadsheet of costs & expenses later he was mine! lol! I have never been so happy to be a dog owner again :)
