The Girl Scouts Trip to Bellingrath Gardens.

Last Saturday we took the girl scouts from our troop over to Theodore Alabama to see the lights at Bellingrath Gardens. We went last year as a family, plus my mom and had such a great time, that I wanted to share the same fun with the kiddos this year. The girls really loved seeing all the lights and walking through the gardens singing along with the Christmas songs that were playing and drinking hot chocolate. I have seen tons of light displays but Bellingrath is by far my favorite. Here's some of the pics from our event :)

Chinese New Year!

Lowe's Build and Grow Workshop with the Girl Scouts!

Last Saturday our local Lowe's had their build and grow workshop and we decided to take our daisy girl scouts there to make "Ghoul Buses"! It was a GREAT experience and I highly suggest it for a fun activity! The girls really loved being able to hammer and nail away and actually get to keep what they made with their own hands! Not to mention, how adorable they looked in their goggles and aprons! Home depot also does a workshop but I happen to like Lowe's better just for the fact that they let the kids keep the goggles and aprons and they also give them a certificate and a patch to go on the apron, but of course we put ours on the back of our daisy girl vests! We all had a really great time and most important the girls got to do something different that none of them have ever done before, have fun with it and take home what they made! :)

Troop 7025 Day at the Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch

Saturday we took our first girl scout trip of the season! We headed down to the farm to go to the corn maze, pumpkin patch and hanging out on the hay ride. We had beautiful weather and the girls had a great time! We've been before in the previous years as a family but this was our first time as girl scout leaders. It's been fun so far being a co-leader of the small group of daisies, I can't wait to see what other trips the girls pick to do this year!
