Feeling kinda down...

Its almost 9pm here and can I just say for the record that I am little nervous freaking out about tomorrow. Its my follow up appointment with infertility doc. I think its just all hitting me... I think I am frustrated beyond belief that I still don't know what's wrong with me. I am sad, because I feel like my AF is just around the corner, and pessimistic about also not accomplishing anything at tomorrows appointment because he will want to wait till next cycle to try anything... yup, that means waiting another month. With my birthday right around the corner all this just brings me full circle to square one. I wish I could just hold my breath or stand on my head until I get pregnant... at this point I'd probably believe and try just about anything! I am truly just irritated at this point! The worst part is feeling all these "symptoms" when I know its just that big fat negative test I'm going to face next week. I am so beyond sick of testing! And let me just say its getting expensive! I seriously think that sam's club should stock their shelves with these and ovulation kits! Ive got the perfect spot too... right in between the trojan condom's and the prenatal vitamins they have stocked. Agggggh! Ok now that I've got all that out... I feel better. I seriously hope tomorrow goes well but I really have my doubts. Its just getting harder and harder for me to stay positive... I feel like every time I get to see just a hint of light at the end of the tunnel, I get mowed down by some stupid train. :( So to be continued tomorrow...

What's on my phone Tuesday!

Its TUESDAY! Already! Where has the week gone?! It seems like Tuesday's always sneak up on me! Sneaky Sneaky Tuesday! I am happy to report that I have a job interview today its just a part time job, but hey its something! With the kiddo starting kindergarten in the fall I figure its time for me to start doing something again besides the laundry and housework... or at least until I have another baby. And speaking of babies... I have my follow up doctor appointment tomorrow to go over our other "options" as he put it... since the HSG didn't exactly go as planned. I am kinda dreading it because I know he wont actually DO anything till my next cycle! I HAAAAAAAATE having to wait that long! And in the mean time I will uncontrollably drive myself nuts deciding if I have gotten pregnant this month or not. Have I mention how infertility has turned me into a giant basket case? Ahhhhg! Anyway... So here is my "What's on my Phone Tuesday" and as always please link up with Jessica @ The Lowe Family News. :D

My mini teenager... I could swear she is 5 going on 15!

My homemade sushi! Its a spicy crab roll. I got the tutorial from Jennifer @ Peas & Crayons
Her blog is awesome and she has amazing recipes! I have seriously book marked so many that I need to start cookin! LOL Anyway mine didn't turn out as pretty as Jenn's but they still tasted awesome... I just figure with more practice they can look a bit better ;)

This would be the sweet little delectable known as king cake! Well, a mini version of it! Real king cake is usually huge and meant to be shared its also stuffed with beads, coins and babies... yes babies! LOL! Its a tradition around here in "Cajun country". I really love all the traditions around here at this time of year! I cant wait for the parades to start in a few weeks! Oh and NOLA for my birfday!

Swagbucks! Oh why do you tease me! I love the fact that I get these swag bucks but it seems to take FOREVER to actually save up and get anything worth while... I want the $5.00 amazon gift card but man its taking me forever to get it! Anyone else have this problem? Anyone else have any idea's on how I can get more swag bucks? Cause 8 a day just isn't cutting it! I am impatient LOL!

Twice the Love!

30 Days of Books: Day 6

Day 06 – Favorite book of your favorite series OR your favorite book of all time

My absolute favorite series by Charlaine Harris: The sookie stackhouse novels or The Southern
Vampire Series. I love everything about these books! I love the way they are written, I love the
cast of characters, I love the suspense, I love romance and my god do I love me some Eric Northman! He just happens to my favorite (viking) vampire and I sure do pledge my love to the sherrif of area 5. I started reading this series waaaaaay before "True Blood" came out on HBO, and while I am happy with the series, I wish they could stay a little more faithful to the books...t he books are so much more amazing than the show. :) I just wish Bon Temps was a real town I could go visit with all my favorite "friends":)

30 Days of Books: Day 5

Day 05 – A book or series you hate

I think that would have to be a tie between the "Evernight" series by Claudia Gray and the
"Vampire Diaries" by L.J. Smith... I read both of these as suggested reading and I couldn't
hate them more... Evernight seemed to me like just a generic version of the Twilight series, different cast of characters but same kinda story... I hate books that do that.. Vampire Diaries had me disappointed because I watched the show before I read the books and the show seemed alot more mature than the books are, I get it... is meant for teenagers and it takes place in high school but the characters are very childish in my opinion.

30 Days of Books: Day 4

Day 04 – Your favorite book or series ever.

I have two... and neither one is better than the other in the same sense that I could pick
a favorite kind of chocolate lol! They are Charlaine Harris's Sookie Stackhouse Novels or AKA. "Southern Vampire Mysteries" and J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter Series! I love these books so
much! I have every book in the series and I would be seriously lost with out them... I read them over and over sometimes I finish the book, other times I just read my favorite chapters or parts of the books. I dunno what it is about them that I'm so addicted to but I am. I am sad that J.K Rowling ended the HP books I wish it could go on forever... I'd like to see what Harry and his friends are like later on in life and if they have children what those children would be like. And I think that if Charlaine ever ends the Sookie books I will cry! No, seriously I will! They are that awesome!

Oh and just as a side note... I have Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire which I bought in London when I was there in 2000, and it DOES vary just a little. Not the actual story just the language... its my also favorite book to read out of the series.

Valentines Day Party and a Craft or Two

So this morning we went to the squadron's children's Valentines Day Party, it was pretty awesome and the kiddo had a good time. Everything in the hall was decorated in pink and red and cuteness! I only wish I hadn't forgotten my camera at home :( I could have taken with my phone buttttt I forgot to plug in my phone last night to charge and it died while we were there :( It seems I'm batting a thousand already today LOL! Anyway we got home and the kiddo wanted to hang up ALL her new valentines in her room... which was ok with me, but then I got this awesome idea! *Light bulb* LOL! I decided to make her a wreath out of the valentines! Sounds pretty cool eh? Have a looksee!

She loves it! And all I did was hot glue the cards in a circle! LOL!

And since I was crafting and had my glue gun already out I figured I'd make a little something for my long window... remember the leaves I made in the fall? I just applied the same concept
to the hearts I made for Valentines day! :D

And just cause she's so darn cute... I present my kiddo... man she's looking less
like a little kid and more like a mini teenager these days... I feel old LOL!

30 Days of Books: Day 3

Day 03 – The best book you’ve read in the last 12 months

Its kinda hard to decide so Im going to go with my all time favorite book which is
Dead to the World by Charlaine Harris its book # 4 in the Sookie Stackhouse series.
I love this book for so many reasons but mostly because of the chemistry, relationship
and bond that Sookie and Eric form... oooh there are sooooo many steamy chapters in
this book... I think the idea of Eric is what makes me read it over and over again LOL!

MilSpouse Friday Fill-In

1. Since most of the country has had nasty weather, what has your weather been like this week?

Ugh, its been nasty here too my friends. For all of you who want to go "South" to wait out this cold weather, I think your gonna have to go to Miami or the Keys! My mom called yesterday to tell me she was wearing a tank top and shorts! They live across the alley from Miami lol! And in the mean time we are having sleet and coldness of about 27 degrees. Or what I like to call raining "slushies" thats what it looks like... like someone had dumped slushie mix from the sky! I'm half tempted to go grab a cone and some cherry syrup and head outside! LOL!

2. What is/are your best money saving tip(s)?

Oh, I'm not so sure I'm the best person to consult on this... I like saving money but usually end up doing the reverse. The only thing I can tell you that I do to save money is that, I plan all our meals for 2 weeks (the 2 weeks between pay checks) I put everything on the dry erase calender and shop for the items that I need to make those dinners. I also get the coupons from the Sunday newspaper, the coupons from www.coupons.com and the commissary's coupons.
3. What was your favorite vehicle you’ve ever owned?

That would be my first car... the Dodge Omni hatchback I owned in high school... what a junker, mom and dad bought it for like $500 bucks!!! It was red, and the friends and I dubbed it "The red little slut machine"... how we came up with that name is beyond me... LOL! Ohhh so many memories of that car... and in that car, and going places in that car! Did you know you could pack 7 people in it? LOL! It will also swim in small bodies of water called canal's too ;) LMAO! Ohh I wish you guys could step back in time with me for a little bit LOL!

4. What is a question you’d like to see asked in a future fill-in? (Your question & blog just may appear one week!)

Ooooh I dunno... I think just about everything has been asked at least once... I'll have to get back to you on that one...

5. Fill in the blank: You might be a MilSpouse if….(I will be including some of your answers in a future post (with a link to your blog, of course!)

Ohhh I have about a million of these... but these would be my top favorite...

...If TMO has ever packed your trash can for a PCS with the trash still in it! ... True story... happened to us when we moved from Oklahoma to Georgia... my god did our apartment stink for about 3 days before we figured out which box had the trash still in it! GROSS!

OR...

...If you do your husband's laundry after he has come home from an exercise and your washer is filled with little yellow or orange ear plugs.

AND MY PERSONAL FAVORITE...

...If you've ever shouted "Fly By" or "Low Pass" into the phone at someone 2 seconds before a jet roar's past you over head.
(I think that's mostly just us Air Force Wives on that one). I do that CONSTANTLY! ;)

30 Days of Books: Day 2

Day 02 – A book or series you wish more people were reading and talking about?

Hmmmmm lets see... this one is kinda tough for me because I think I read more of the
"popular" books... but one author I love that alot of people either Love or Hate is Chuck Palahniuk he wrote the books; Fight Club, Lullabye, Choke, Snuff, Invisible Monsters, Haunted, Pygmy, Diary; A Novel, and Tell All. He is a bit of an esscentric wrighter, dont get me wrong he is awesome and his novels are best sellers but like I said you either love him or hate him.

I think the same goes for Irvine Welsh the author of books like; Trainspotting, Glue, The Acid House, Porno, Filth, If you liked school, you'll love work, Ecstacy, Marabou Stork Nightmares, and Crime. He is another amazing author that you just have to have a taste for ;)

I also love Jesse Petersen's Living with the Dead series those books are; Married with Zombies, Flip this Zombie, (and soon to hit the market this year) Eat, Slay, Love. Her books are hilarious with dark humor and vulgarity but in a good way ;) Close your eyes and imagine your in the middle of a zombie apocalypse and battling zombies has become your everyday life... now imagine it with your EX!.. yeah that's what I thought! That is Sarah and David (the two main character's) predicament lol!

Oh and I think they should make more books that YOU as the reader get to decide the ending to... kinda like those books we had as kids but with adult senarios of course. I LOVE books like that! I currently own one and it is called "Pretty Little Mistakes" by Heather Mcelhatton. Its a wonderful book that allows you to control your own characters destiny!

30 Days of Books: Day 1

Day 01 – A book series you wish had gone on longer OR a book series you wish would just freaking end already (or both!)

I have a couple that I wish would keep going on for a while...

For example this one I'm reading right now, "The Candy Shop Mysteries" by Sammi Carter they are quick easy reads that I love. I was honestly surprised how much I liked the series for reading my first "cozy mystery series", and now I'm kinda sad that I'm almost done with it.

And this is a little cliche but the Twilight Series, I just wasn't completely satisfied with the ending of book # 4 Breaking Dawn... I want to still see what life is like for them... how the live out Forever... how Renesmee and Jacob's relationship progresses... 4 books was just not enough! I need some more Stephanie Meyers!

I also love the Harry Potter series and wish that could have gone on for just about.... Forever :)

What's on my phone Tuesday!

Ah, this week I have much better pics! My life was a little more slow and interesting this week, it was nice to stop and be able to take some pics instead of run around like a chicken with my head cut off LOL! Please share "What's on your phone" and link up with Jessica over at The Lowe Family News.

My old stomping grounds... I went to college here at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community last year
Had to go in and get a receipt for my classes from last year, to have for taxes this year. :)

So, I came downstairs one morning to this!... look closely... yes, that is a snake... lucky for me it
was a fake snake... it was just part of an old Halloween costume. My daughter has officially inherited her fathers sense of humor... She planted this and then hid behind the couch to watch me squeal. She knows I cant STAND snakes! LOL!

That there would be a man in love with his "baby"... or my hub's washing his car ;)

We took a walk on the beach on Saturday and decided to go hang out on the pier for a while, I snapped this one of the munchkin right as she says "Oh, come on mom! Another picture?!" LOL!

I just had to take a picture of the water... it was soooooo clear that day, surprisingly unusual for
Mississippi Gulf Water... we have mostly brackish water because of the river and all the delta's.

At the end of the pier.... soooo peaceful.

Hey look! It's an Airman M&M!

I was running the vacuum and the kiddo saw the mini tornado inside and she just had to have a pic of it... she thought it was the "coolest thing ever!" LOL! She is living up to her "Okie" roots...
Yes, my child is by birth a native "Sooner" ;)

Isn't this fog creeeeepy! I went out to check the mail this afternoon and this is what was rolling in... I wish I gone across the street to take a pic of the back yard over there. We have a national cemetery that is right behind our neighborhood. Another reason why the hub's is building his arsenal... zombie apocalypse. ;)

So tonight was grocery shopping night. I don't cook on grocery shopping night, so we go out to eat. Tonight's choice is brought to you by the munchkin... pizza buffet at Sicily's one of our faves. This plate is brought to you by the hubs... I think he took the whole buffet! I asked him if he was stocking up for winter or something... nothing irritates me more than how he can eat a whole plate like this and go back for more and never gain a pound! WTF! Sooooo not fair!

Prends mon âme et le remplir avec de la musique.

Bonne Nuit! My bloggie buddies :) I am brushing up on my French tonight... its been a while and I figured it might be nice to practice a little again. Have I mentioned I live to learn other languages? Hub's teases me and says I should have been a linguist for the AF, which would be great if I didn't HATE PT so much LOL! Anyway I am sitting here listening to Edward Maya, you might have heard his new radio hit "Stereo Love" featuring Vika Jigulina. I am in absolute LOVE with that song and it has inspired me to acquire his whole album, which in turn inspired me to brush up on my French. Funny how art imitates life which imitates art huh? Not that he's French or anything... he is actually Romanian. Ok, so I am on this European kick LOL! Anyway check out his songs, they are amazing! They move me, inspire me and sing to my soul.

Here's Stereo Love but Desert Rain is by far my second fave. :)
