MilSpouse Friday Fill-In (For July)

Wow is it that time again?! These weeks are kinda flying by and the months are sneaking up on me! And to think... I only have a few more weeks left in the sunshine state before I have to go back to the land of the bayou's and humidity... Oh how I long to live in Florida again! Don't get me wrong, there are things that I have loved about living in Mississippi's Gulf Coast but I am truly a Floridian! :)

1.) What's one thing in the past month you would have changed? I really can't think of anything I would change. Life has been good lately, other than I wish my hubby could be home with me and life could be normal in that aspect. :)
2.) What was your favorite thing that happened in June? Well... we did a lot of fun things with my parents and the kiddo got to spend a lot of time with her grandparents and her "cousins" they are more like 5th & 6th cousins twice removed or something but hey, I still consider them family, I've known them for most of my life now lol! Oh and we did go see Brave, that was pretty awesome! Oh and heck yes! I booked mine and hubby's cruise!!! That's gotta be the highlight! I seriously can't wait for him to come home!

3.) What did you do to celebrate Independence Day? We had a BBQ with our families friends and then we went downtown to the park I used to go to when I was a kid and watch fireworks. It was fun but it made me miss the hubby more than usual... holidays just don't feel right without him being here.

4.) When you PCS, what items do you take with you and not let the movers pack (and if you do a DITY, what do you take with you and not box up) I have learned that we prefer to do a DITY move... only because we have had things break, things stolen and things stink (packed up trash can with trash in it) from when the movers have moved our stuff. So In a DITY move, I usually pack everything except; our laptops, my jewelry, our important papers like birth certificates, marriage license, shot records, military documents etc. at least a weeks worth of clothing, our arsenal of guns and ammo and... and... and... oh yeah the dog LOL! :)

5.) What are you looking forward to in July? It's just one month closer to hubby's return (at least we are over the hump and can actually start counting down days now. Oh and we are going to North Carolina for vacation in t-minus 12 days! Hubby's family are having their family reunion and well I'm going to represent for him :) Ok ok, and maaaaybe do some white water rafting and gold/gem stone mining LOL! But its all for his sake I tell ya! :)

MilSpouse Friday Fill-In (For June)

Wow! I almost forgot about these... now that they are once a month or is it once in a while? I forget about them a little more easily. Wow... not to get off track but I just have to get this out... Did I really just see Jordan Knight (from New Kids on the Block) do a jingle for an Old Navy commercial? Wow... is that what they have really come to? *sigh* I guess that's what they have to work with since their big come back tour was such a big flop LOL!

1. What’s one thing in the past month you would have changed?

I think it might be safe to say... I'd change just about EVERYTHING! Holy crap it has been a rough time the past few months... lots of ups and downs, lots of drama and lots of WTF momnets LOL! But what's a deployment without a little drama right? LOL!

2. What was your favorite thing that happened in May?

That would be the munchkin's Kindergarten graduation! I now officially have a first grader! It's been kind of a rough year for her... she is far more advanced than the other kids in her class and therefor gets into some trouble when she gets done with her work early, her school also doesn't have a "gifted program" for kindergarten... another reason I particularly hate our school district/state for education. They also decided about 3/4th of the way through the school district that she needs to see a speech pathologist, she does have trouble saying certain words like "Whispers" or "Seashells" or "Pumpernickel", but that is a whole other blog post lol! Never the less... we made it and hopefully she will be happy in first grade with a great teacher that sees her potential not her faults like this year.

3. June includes the first day of summer… what are your plans for the summer?

Well since we are in the beautiful state of Florida... those plans will include... beach, swimming in pools, shopping at Ikea (finally) amusment parks like Seaworld, Bush Gardens and possibly Disney... we shall see... the bright side of having extra money from a deployment?... extra money to do awesome things you don't normally get the chance to. The down side... its a LOT harder to save that money LOL!

4. Do you use the services on base (gym, financial planning, family services, daycare)? And if so, what’s your favorite one? (thanks to Shanon at Modern Meets Traditional for this question!)

We do... with things like "parents night out/give parents a break" we also try to do some of the fun things our base offers like; geocasheing, fishing rodeos, the free pool etc. I look at it this way... these programs get funding and if no one uses them then the following year they get less funding or they might stop getting funding at all... and then no one gets to have fun. The one we enjoy the most is obviously "parents night out/give parents a break" its a great time for us to relax without having the kiddo around, its a chance for us to go on a real date and have someone we trust watch her. She also enjoys it very much because she gets to go to the youth center and play video games, roller skate in the gym, watch movies and eat pizza with her friends. And seeing how our nearest trusted baby-sitters (our parents) are about 400 miles away, this comes in handy! :)

5. What are you looking forward to in June?

Just having another month behind us and being one month closer to having hubby/daddy home. :)

MilSpouse Friday Fill-In

1. What is your favorite/most unique anniversary/birthday gift from your spouse? suggested by Bel at Being a Better Me

Hmmm.... there's been quite a few... It's probably silly but he actually made me a HUGE banner for my birthday one year, like with construction paper and glue and glitter and all kinds of craftiness! And if you know my husband, he is a techie not a crafty LOL! It really meant alot to me and I kept it up in the living room for the whole month! Let's see what he comes up with this year... he's got 8 more days to finalize his plans LOL!

2. What’s your first thought when you see it’s snowing (or what would you say if you don’t live somewhere with snow? suggested by Poekitten from Many Waters

My first thought is YAY! Grab the kiddo, grab our coats, gloves and boots and head outside!!! But since we now live in Mississippi and it never snows here (except that first year we moved here, and it was flurries) I don't get to say that... I wish it would in winter, it would be lovely.

3. What’s one thing in the past month you would have changed? suggested by Erika from Chambanachik

Hearing about my dad having a heart attack. My mom called me in the middle of the day on a Tuesday and I just knew something had to be up... she never calls like that, usually because shes working. I just knew even before she called something was wrong, I felt like crap all morning and just really uneasy. My dad drove to the store and was on his way home, when he got really sick and clammy, then the pain in his chest started. He stopped by my moms work and made it through the door and hit the floor and passed out. They all called 911 and he was whisked away by ambulance to the hospital. They found out after he had a heart cath done and some ultrasounds that he had 80% blockage in his left artery and 75% blockage in his right artery, he also had a clot in his leg. They removed the blockages and the clot, and he's find now... it was just really scary and very touch and go. He nearly didn't make it. I have a feeling that if he had gone straight home and not stopped at my moms work he would have died at home, since there would have been no one but him there. :( He had someone looking out for him that day, I just know it. He has taken the doctor's advice pretty seriously and has stopped smoking completely (after 40 years of smoking) and is even eating right and exercising, and for that I am greatful!

4. What was your favorite thing that happened in February?

Hmm... Mardi Gras I supposed was probably a highlight, all the parades and festivities were great. And celebrating another birthday for my mom, I count my lucky stars each year that she has one.

5. What are you looking forward to in March?

Well... there is my birthday to celebrate on the 11th, and the kiddo has her soccer award ceremony on the 17th, but other than that nothing much is going on. :)

Milspouse Friday Fill-In

1. What is your favorite winter memory?
I must have been about 6... it was March and we were on vacation in Germany. My mom and I were just walking home from the bakery shop about four blocks away from my grandparents house and it started to snow. That was the first time I had ever seen snow. I remember trying to catch snowflakes on my tongue as we walked over the bridge of the creek that runs along the street of where they lived. I can still vividly remember how it looks in my mind... but then again I remember so much about Germany, and I miss it.

2. What is your current favorite TV show?
It changes all the time since there are tons of shows I like to watch. Five seasons later and I still am hooked on the drama at the Jersey Shore. I loved Chuck and am sad that they are not making another season. I can't wait for Walking Dead to start up again in a week or two. I still watch Big Bang Theory religiously and continue to believe that Leonard is the hottest geek (next to my husband of course) And then of course there are all the reality shows I watch but it's not bachelor or survivor or that stuff... (JS is my only vice on that) its Ghost Hunters, The Collector, Disappeared, Scorned, Ru Pauls Drag Race, Son of Guns, Dirty Jobs, Mythbusters etc.

3. What was your favorite thing that happened in January?
Comic Con!!! It was last weekend, the last weekend in January! It was the BEST! Check out my post on it to read all about it ;)

4. What is the best sound in the world to you?
My daughter when she comes in my bedroom in the morning and whispers... "Good morning mommy, I love you" and then she snuggles with me for a few minutes... that is OUR time just me and her... she has done it since she was about 2 and even at 6 she still does it... I don't know what I'm going to do when she stops one day.

5. What is the biggest lesson you have learned as a MilSpouse (or significant other)?
Write your military friends addresses in pencil in your address book. Never take the airforce's time lines serious... there will ALWAYS be delays...because nothing is ever set in stone, and even if it is... wait five minutes because I'm sure they will change their mind again. Give it a chance, ye moving sucks, yes making new friends and leaving behind old ones suck... but give your new place, city and people around you all a fair chance... at least for the first 2-3 months... if after that you still hate it then I guess its safe to say you do but until then... take it slowly and go out and discover... you never know what you might find! Annnnnd... as hard as it is... MAKE friends! I don't know how many times I went to one of my fellow military wife friends needing help... a ride to the store because my car broke down, a trusted friend to watch my kid for a half hour while I go run my errands and regain my sanity, someone to have Thanksgiving or Christmas with when you can't be with your family or just a shoulder to cry on when you miss your husband. :) These tips I have learned over the years of being an Air Force wife and they have always helped me, I hope they help you too :) oooh, Oohhhh... also VERY important... NEVER let TMO pack up your garbage... it will stink like death warmed over by the time TMO delivers it and you will spend a week trying to figure out which box is the stinky box... I speak from personal experience LOL!

Milspouse Friday Fill-In (aka. Stresssssss day)

1. One of my New Year’s resolutions is try to be a little less stressed... phsh! That's what resolutions are all about right?! Breaking them!

2. One thing I’d like to happen next year is I think by now, all of you know what that is... it's the same thing I wish for every year... only this time it will be the last, I have decided I can't wish my life away on a baby that will never happen. So after this year I'm giving up.

3. One thing I’m looking forward to next year is Spending a few months down in Florida after school's out. I miss "home".

4. One change I’d like to see next year is I have no idea... how about luck... I'd like a change of good luck for once!

5. My plans for NYE include Not sure... probably helping the hubby with his last minute things... and working on my school work... because college seems to be the only thing I have time for anymore :(

MilSpouse Friday Fill-In

1. My favorite song of the season is Santa Baby... its always been my favorite :)

2. Anyone who faces infertility and overcomes it is someone who inspires me because helps me to remember to not give up... it gives me hope when times look bleak.

3. If I had $100,000 to give to a charity, I’d give it to I'd have to break it up and give amounts to lots of charities. Some of them being, St. Judes, The national coalition against domestic violence, Susan G. Komen Foundation, The wounded warriors foundation, Amnesty International, Aid for Africa and the ASPCA.

4. If I had a themed party, I'd make it a Murder Mystery Party! Where all my guests could participate! They are awesome and my favorite!

5. If I had one wish for my kids/future kids/some young person I care about, it would be that she grow up to be super smart, go on to college, some day find a special person to get married to and have children with. I wish her good health, success, love, and happiness. What more could a parent ask for?

MilSpouse Friday Fill-In

1. If I could be on any reality TV show, I’d want to be on _________________ .
A few years back it would have been Amazing Race (remember that show?! Do they even have it on still?) It's the one where teams of two would race around the world with clues that they were given. They would do all kinds of awesome stuff like zip line in the amazon or ride camels in Egypt! Sooo awesome! So either that show or Jersey Shore... just to see all the drama acted out right in front of me... I admit, I am addicted to that show!

2. This past Thanksgiving was _________________ .

Awesome! You should read my post from it, if you haven't already! We had a full house, we both watched and played some pig skin and were thankful for good food, good conversation and good people to be with. :)

3. I’m looking forward to December because _________________ .

For lots of reasons, there's tons of fun stuff to do this month, I always feel good at this time of year, we have done a lot of community work and donation work and that always feels good. Mom and Dad will be coming to visit in 2 weeks and I can't wait to show them around NOLA and I'm looking forward to taking Daddy to the USS Alabama in Mobile... he loves seeing old war/history stuff!

4. One thing I’d like to accomplish this month is _________________ .

Passing my first college class! It's 6 weeks long so it will take me more than just the month of December, but at least I will accomplish something! Its been so long since I've taken an actual college class... I'm a bit rusty and skiddish! I imagine though once I get back into the swing of things I'll be ok ;)

5. To me, winter is _________________ .

The best time of year (being in the South) here, it finally gets nice enough to take long walks outside, or to turn the A/C off and leave your windows open all day or night. I love not having to sweat! LOL!

1. Freedom is is never free... it will always come with a price. Sometimes a life, sometimes a scar, but it is a price a very brave person pays. And anyone who feels other wise can feel free to take their place on the front lines!

2. Veterans are taken for granted, mistaken, or disrespected. Which should be a crime. These men and women wrote a blank check to The United States of American in the amount up to their lives and that deserves respect.

3. This country is is a great country, that is why my hubby, my brother-in-law, my daddy, my father in law and my grandfather chose to fight for it. There is no place I'd rather live than the good ole US of A!

4. Veteran’s Day means a time for me to be thankful for my veterans, a time for me to reflect on those that gave their all.

5. A hero is is my husband, he will always be my hero no matter what. :)

Happy Veteran's Day! And to all my Millie Wive Friends... hug your husband today and thank him for his service and sacrifice for me :)

Milspouse Friday Fill-In

1. The best part of October was Hearing from the doctor that we have a good chance of trying again this month! And doing all the fun stuff with munchkin... the corn maze, the pumpkin picking, the "camp in" and the s'mores!

2. The worst part of October was dealing with all the BS from my neighbors. :P
3. For Halloween, I’ll be taking the kiddo around the neighborhood to get her some treats!
4. I hope that in November that I can give you an announcement that we are pregnant.

5. Wifey has posted MilSpouse Secret Santa. I will not be participating... sorry, I really do want to... but there is just too much going on for us as a family, and my parents will be coming to visit during that month so I want to save as much as possible to be able to do fun stuff with them while they are here. Maybe next year, if she does it again :(

1.) Right now, our weather is _________________, but what I’d really like is _________________.

Right now, our weather is hot and extremely humid! but I'd really love it to be cool with high temps in the 60s and 70's! I can't wait for fall and winter!

2.) I like to let my hair down and _________________.

Let someone else be responsible for the house and all its inhabitants... I get tired of being the glue sometimes.

3.) Mommy Rambles made a post about heroes… my hero is _________________, because _________________.

Awesome, because he is selfless, brave, confident and smart.

4.) It’s a weird combination, but I swear _________________ and _________________ are a perfect pair!

Pizza and Nacho Cheese are a perfect pair!

5.) Some may see the glass half empty and others may see it half full, but I _________________.

As just a glass... life is neither half full nor half empty it is what it is... and it is what you make of it.

MilSpouse Friday Fill-In

1.) My plans for Labor Day included _________________, but what really happened was _________________.

A trip to NOLA, but what really happened was... we were rained out and we ended up staying at home playing games like candy land, sorry, monopoly and watching movies all weekend.

2.) Call me crazy, but sometimes I just need to _________________.

Get in the car turn the radio up and drive along a scenic route... I love doing that, it feels good... stress re-leaving even.

3.) One of the funniest things I’ve seen lately is _________________.

My dog, when he acts all banana sandwich... he will jump off anything, we call him the suicide dogger LOL! He also loves to stalk and chase and occasionally bark at the pigeons and seagulls that land on our back porch, which is hilarious to watch.

4.) It’s strange, but _________________ drives me crazy while _________________ is perfectly fine with me!

Clutter drives me crazy while my mess is perfectly fine with me :)

5.) One, two, buckle my shoe… three, four _________________.

Better lock your door...five six...grab your crucifix...seven eight... gonna stay up late... nine ten never sleep again... Heehee! I prefer the Freddy version... what can I say I like old horror movies! :)

Friday, September 2, 2011

Milspouse Friday Fill-In

1. My plans for this weekend include Probably staying in doors but what I’d really like to do is hang out as a family, maybe go on a day trip to NOLA.

2. I consider the Labor Day holiday to hang out with family and usually grill and swim in the pool, at least that's what I did as a kid.

3. My favorite meal for cookouts is steaks & BBQ ribs with corn on the cob and cherry pie for dessert!, but my thighs wouldn’t agree.

4. So far, my favorite part of summer has been Hanging out in the back yard pool, going to to water park, walks on the beach in the evening etc.

5. When it comes to deployments, my philosophy is surround yourself with good friends and family if you can. Get a hobby and stick to it, go on mini trips, maybe road trip to see your family. Get out of the house! You will drive yourself nuts if you stay cooped up all day!

Friday, August 26, 2011

Milspouse Friday Fill-In

1.) The first thing I think of when I get up in the morning is _________________.

Oh man... do I really gotta wake up? Yes, the alarm went off... I'll just hit the snooze button... SHIT! Wait! I've hit it twice already! Craaaaaap... its gonna be a long day. That is my daily morning thought lol!

2.) Lately, I’ve been craving _________________ because _________________.

Chocolate! Ice cream! And Wings... no I'm not pregnant... My hormones are just really getting good practice in while they are getting screwed around from all these pills I'm taking.

3.) Whenever anyone says the word _________________, it reminds me of my childhood because _________________.
Bazooka. It reminds me of the gum and I used to chew that non-stop while playing baseball with the boys in summer camp. Yeah, I played baseball... not soft ball... with boys... and they actually liked me because I was such a tom boy. Think "Roberta" Christina Ricci's character in "Now and Then".

4.) The happiest word I know is _________________, but _________________.

Huh?! I'm a little confused by this... the happiest word(s) I know are... "I love you" spoken from my husband, my child and my mom. I don't get the but part...?

5.) My spouse may hate it, but I absolutely love _________________.

Watching T.V. shows like Jersey Shore, Russian Dolls (my newest obsession), and Ru Paul's Drag Race. LOL!

Friday, August 19, 2011

Milspouse Friday Fill-In

1. My spouse and I rarely agree on _________________, but always agree on _________________.

Hmmm... there's not much we don't agree on... other than food. He likes weird stuff and I like normal things. I'm just a plain Jane kinda eater and he's kinda like man vs. food. He'll try ANYTHING at least once lol!

2. If I could use one word to sum up the way I feel right now, it would be _________________.
Depressed... I think that is why I have lacked in blogging and being creative. I'm working on projects but they don't seem to be getting finished because I just have a lack of motivation. I don't feel like doing anything anymore. I feel like I wait forever to get anywhere with this baby thing too and that is dragging me down alot too, 6 more months and it will be 2 years since we started this journey and I guess I just expected it to happen by now. There's nothing anyone can do or say to make it any different, it is what it is... and I am what I am. I also miss my mom.

3. One of the things my spouse does that grosses me out is _________________.

Um... he wear's socks (without shoes on) outside sometimes, like to take the trash out to the can and then comes back inside and leaves the same socks on... so later he can not only track dirt and grime all through the house but also in our bed, because the man wears socks 24/7! And that drives me NUTS! I absolutely HATE his socks!

4. My readers may think I’m crazy for doing this, but I really love to _________________.

I dunno, I'm kinda stuck on this one... there's not much that you already don't know about me. I also don't think I do anything really off the wall crazy either... there is this one thing though... I'd love to go off one day... just do what ever the hell I want when I want... smash everything in the glassware section of a store one day and just scream at people for being stupid, lazy or mean. But I think that's sorta normal... who doesn't fantasize about just taking out all their aggression on something or someone? Kinda like Michael Douglas in Brazil... if you haven't seen it, watch it... it's pretty hilarious how he goes off lol.

5. Frankly, my dear, I don’t _________________.

I don't give a flying monkey's arse! And I have always stuck by that statement. :)

Happy Friday Everyone!

MilSpouse Friday Fill-In

Happy Friday everyone!!! Hope you all are having a great day and are preparing for excellent weekends as well. I am spending the day grocery shopping and getting the last minute things for the kiddo for school. She starts next Thursday O.M.G!!! Other than that, I fear our weekend might be a tad bit boring... hubby will be going shooting with his buddies from work, so that will leave me and the munchkin to fend for ourselves Saturday... I know what your thinking... "He comes back from DC and still leaves me with watching the kid... " but don't worry he owes me! BIG ;) I think I might just have him repay me in scentsy products and books LOL! *Wicked-Evil-Grin*

So... on to the Milspouse Friday Fill-In!

1. Facebook or Twitter?

I have both, I used to use twitter all the time but for some reason I stopped... I think it was when they changed the websites interface... I just don't like the look of it. Plus most of my friends have facebook over twitter so if I'm tweeting... its pretty much to strangers. In case you wanna add me via twitter its JessMcC, but like I said I'm mostly on Facebook, which is shared with my hubby... we just have too many social networks to keep track of and we made a facebook together so both sets of parents would be able to see everything in one spot.

2. Hard Tacos or Soft Tacos?

Without a doubt soft tacos... I wont eat tacos any other way... period.

3. Gardening or crafting?

Gardening! Ha! I wish! I kill anything that's green! I even killed my oregano plant :( My Opa the nursery/winemaker would be ashamed... my mom has the green thumb, but it some how skipped my generation. Hopefully it will be inherited by my children LOL! And what I lack in Gardening I make up in Crafting... I am very crafty if I do say so myself, I've been on a dry run right now but usually I'm pretty good at crafting up all kinds of stuff. Don't believe me? Just check out my modpodged comic book shoes... which you can see here It's a favorite among my blog readers or so says google analytics ;)

4. Fruit or vegetables?

I'd have to go with Fruit, just because there are not many veggies I eat. I know, I know, I am a bad example for my child but I just pull the "mommy is allergic" excuse ;) What!? Don't look at me like that! LOL I do eat sooooooome veggies like; lettuce, mushrooms, olives (that's a veggie right?) carrots, corn, and potatoes. Funny thing is I am actually allergic to both Oranges and Pumpkins. Oranges I have been allergic to since... well... probably birth. I know, kinda ironic from the girl who grew up in Florida right? And pumpkins since I was about 15? I believe... I was carving out one for Halloween one year and was scooping out the guts when I noticed my arms were bright red and swollen, long story short I had to go to the ER and get a bunch of shots. No bueno!

5. Motorcycle or bicycle?

O.M.G motorcycle for sure! I have always wanted one... well, since I was about 10 (that was my first motorcyle ride) it was on the back of my uncles BMW motorcycle and we drove from my home town in Heilbronn to just over the border of France it didn't take us very long (few hours) and was well worth the trip! We bought baguettes and croissants and they were awesome! So yeah, motorcycle for me please! I want a suzuki GS 500 (preferably the 2008 model, I just like the sleekness of it!) In case your wondering it looks like this...

Beauty, isn't she? Ahhh, some day... a girl can dream right?

MilSpouse Friday Fill In

1. Do you eat raw cookie dough?
Oh yes, and raw cake batter... and I have never gotten sick... ever! How can you not eat the cookie dough while making cookies?! Its impossible LOL!

2. When you get online for the first time of the day… what site do you immediately head to?
I check my email, I check facebook, I check digg and other news, I check blogger, I check my workstation, and now google+ LOL!

3. What was your favorite pet as a child and why?
I only had 1 as a child and that was coco she was a black and tan dachshund, she died last year. But she lived a good, long life (she was 14)

4. If you had a snail that could magically grant wishes, what would you name it?
A wish granting snail? Really? LOL! Um... philbert... yeah that sounds like a snail name.

5. How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Roll Pop?
Like 4, I just have to bite mine, I can never wait that long till I actually lick enough to get to the center. Patients has never been my best virtue LOL!

So in other news... I spent the better half of my day in Mobile, AL at the fertility doctors office. I am NOT pregnant (again) this month either. Boooooooo! Yeah, I know... I'm pretty irritated about it too. I had an ultrasound today and they are giving me Provera (again) sticking me on birth control for a week and then I get to have another ultrasound and some bloodwork and then we start the clomid cycle all over again. Talk about some crazy roller coaster hormones... I think hubbers just might kill me. Last cycle was enough to drive him nuts, this time its double the hormones because of the BC and the Clomid and Oh, yeaah... hes also increasing my dosage of clomid...lucky me ;) LOL! Other than that, I took the munchkin to the mall in Mobile and to Bass Pro Shop in Spanish Fort and now were home again. She starts kindergarten on August 4th! She is excited as can be and I'm basically crapping my pants with worry LOL! I just can't believe she's going to kindergarten! Seems like yesterday I was holding her in my arms for the first time at 6 months old... *sigh* they grow up waaaaaay too fast.

MilSpouse Friday Fill-In

Yeah, I know its a bit late... but hey, better late then never right? Sorry, I've been stuck grocery shopping again today and dodging down pours of rain. Trying to get everything done before hubby leaves tomorrow. I know I promised you more vacation pics and believe me I haven't forgotten yet... they will come tomorrow probably since I'll be all on my lonesome lol!

1. If you could have a private concert with any singer, who would it be?
submitted by An Air Force Wife’s Blog

Without a doubt... hands down... Mr. John Mayer he has an incredibly sexy voice and he is extremely irresistible. Every time I hear his "slow dancing in a burning room" song or "half of my heart" song I like to pretend he's singing it just for me lol ;)

Seeeeee! YUM!!!

2. Is there anything you do to supplement your family’s income? submitted by Our Life, One Adventure at a Time
Right now I don't work, I will be starting school as of next month so in the meantime I sell Scentsy but really... I'm not in it for the money... in fact most of the money I get paid goes right back into the product because I love it so! LOL!

3. During your pregnancy (whether past, present, or future), what did you nickname your unborn baby before you knew the sex? submitted by Explosions of Love
I have never been pregnant, so I dont know. :(

4. Have you ever won a blog giveaway? If so what did you win? submitted by Mrs. O’s Life
Yes, last year I won a Yankee Candle giveaway from Larissa @NHGirlDiplaced and one from Katie @TheSquidsAccomplice which was a incredibly cute vintage style flower hair clip!

5. If I looked into your refrigerator right now, what would I find? submitted by Married to the Army

Oh LOTS of stuff, considering I've been grocery shopping for the last 2 days LOL!

Meyers for the 4th and the following week for my 10 year high school reunion... YIKES! I seriously... can't believe I just sprayed myself with a bit of self tanner... oh the lengths we go to! Don't look at me like that! All my friends are from Florida and have great tans! It is imperative that I blend in! LMAO! Ohhh and btw... sometime after I get back and get settled from all this vacation-ness I'm going to have a scentsy giveaway... now that I finally have 100 followers! Thank you to all of you who read my blog I SO love you guys! :D

1. Have you (spouse) ever considered joining the military and what do you think of dual military couples? submitted by Project Army Wife

Yes, actually I have... I wanted to when I was in high school and almost went into the Navy as a linguist. :) I think life as a mil-mil couple might have a few more hurdles to jump in it but its very do-able... Its all what you make of it, I think.

2. What is your idea of a perfect Sunday afternoon? submitted by A Few of My Favorite Things

Ah, the perfect Sunday afternoon for me consists of a 70 degree weather, good book, a glass of ice cold sweet tea and a hammock in the shade of a garden. Or... a light rain, a good book and me curled up on my chase lounge with a good book and cup of tea.

3. What do you usually do for the 4th of July holiday? submitted by Anchor’s Away

Usually we are with family, either mine or his. This year it will be mine, and we usually always watch fireworks and just enjoy the time together.

4. If they could make an Olympic event JUST for you that you know you’d medal in, what would it be? submitted by Pants are Confusing

Um... hmm... that's tough... maybe folding clothes? I think I fold pretty fast... I don't wanna brag but... hubby says I'm the fastest folder this west of the Mississippi ;) LOL!

5.What have you been doing to get yourself bathing suit ready for the summer? submitted by Not Just an Army Wife

LMAO! Nothing! For shame! I know... I am now trying to get my body back in shape... but its hard, the older I get the harder it is to get the weight off. Fast food is just too damn convenient! Think about it... its EVERYWHERE and its always calling my name :P But I'm serious now... I have got to get my skinny ass back!

MilSpouse Friday Fill-In

1. Underwear Parties, how old is too old? submitted by Wookie & Co.

Ok, I have nooooo idea what kinda party this is? If its referring to a type of sleep over with your girl friends, then yeah... I believe I'm a little too old for that. But seriously... just what is a underwear party? I've never heard of it...

2. What was your favorite class in high school? submitted by Adventures of M-Squared

Art! Well that and Chemistry was my favorite... mostly because I had a crush on my chem teacher ;) Art was just fun, and we had alot of cool, creative, (hot guys) kids in our class.

3. Have you ever convinced packers/movers to pack something they aren’t supposed to for a PCS? submitted by Ground Control to Major Mom

Um, yeah once... it was our move from Oklahoma to Georgia... it was a few of my new candles I just bought from Yankee Candle... I convinced them because, I had never used them yet and it was a drive of 21 hours with a 13 month old baby in the car, we had so much crap packed with us as it was that I just didn't have room for anymore stuff. We already had to take ALL our cleaning supplies and the stupid carpet shampoo'er. They were really nice guys though, unlike the ones we had in Georgia... where we lost 5 moving boxes of DVD's alone...

4. Blogging plays a growing roll in the media. If you were asked to embed as a blogger with a deployed military unit, would you go? What do you think your blog would be like? submitted by To the Nth

No, I would not go. And I'm not going to go into why.

5. Do you think kids should attend year-round school? submitted by Marrying the Navy

I think its a pretty good idea, most other kids through out the world go to school year round. Its really not as bad as it sounds. I know first hand... because I went to school in Germany, not a DOD school but a REAL German school. We had a few weeks off during the Summer, a few weeks off in the Spring, a few weeks in the fall and a few weeks off in Winter. I really didn't mind it because, I saw my friends all the time. And honestly by the time I got back to the states I was ahead of the curriculum that they were teaching at the school I went to. The only thing I lacked in was my English, but then again... that has always been crappy lol! ;) And from a parents point of view, it would be alot easier not having to worry about finding someone during the summer to watch your kids or a summer camp that's not going to charge an arm and a leg.
